Our distinguished faculty are practitioners in their fields and bring real-world learning to the classroom through case studies, research opportunities, and more. The McLean Center for Finance and Economics broadcasts live world headline news and financial market data and features a ticker with scrolling real-time financial data from the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500, as well as a tracker with a customized data display.

Dr. Karen Spohn, Associate Professor of Business, is passionate about two things: encouraging economic literacy and helping students achieve their full potential. “I get the best feeling from helping students become confident in their abilities and master concepts that they had considered difficult at first,” says Dr. Spohn.
