Service

Campus Ministry offers countless opportunities to put your faith in action, from service projects to international mission trips.

Catholic social teaching calls upon each of us as disciples to help the poor through prayer, compassionate service, and advocating justice for the oppressed.

You will find many opportunities to serve local, national, and international communities through Campus Ministry.

Put Your Faith in Action

  • Participate in Alternative Spring Break. Campus Ministry offers a unique service trip every March. This experience grants you the opportunity to serve the local community and participate in direct service, prayer, reflection, and justice. In previous years, we have traveled to Puerto Rico, Houston, TX, and New Orleans, LA. This year we will be serving with the Sunset Gap Community Center in Cosby, Tennessee. Interested students must complete and submit the application by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023.  Please email campusministry@rivier.edu with any questions you may have.
  • Volunteer at Your Local Soup Kitchen. Rivier serves at the Nashua Soup Kitchen on a regular basis. Sign up by contacting the Campus Ministry office. Learn more about Nashua Soup Kitchen at http://www.nsks.org.
  • Donate to the Annual Food Drive. Join the Rivier community in collecting more than 200 Thanksgiving meals during our annual food drive! The Thanksgiving Basket Project culminates with an interfaith prayer service on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
  • Get involved in the Toy Drive to Benefit Nashua PAL. The Rivier community collects toys and games in December to benefit the families served at Nashua PAL.

Get Involved

Whatever your interest or passion, there are countless ways for you to serve at Rivier and around the Greater Nashua area. Contact us to learn about upcoming service opportunities and how you can get involved today!

Your charity should shine forth in all your words and deeds; it should be the motivating force behind all you do.
