Marcia Weiss has refashioned ancient methods of patterned beadwork to include free forms in her distinctive handcrafted jewelry. Having learned Native American techniques for weaving off-loom necklaces, bracelets, and more, she artistically blends traditional rhythms of flat bead-stitched jewelry with three-dimensional improvisations of her own. Because she is furthermore drawn to the rich variety of textures, shapes, and shimmering colors characteristic of beads made from glass, integral to Marcia’s work are the unique visual palettes she has developed for each piece in her collection.
