Housing and Lottery Selection

Riv's housing lottery and room selection takes place in late March/early April. Returning students have the opportunity to secure their room of choice for the following year.

Room Lottery Information

Students are prioritized by class rank as determined by the Registrar’s Office.

Current residents receive:

  • 1 point if they have between 0-29 credit hours = Priority IV
  • 2 points if they have between 30-59 credit hours = Priority III
  • 3 points if they have between 60-89 credit hours = Priority II
  • 4 points if they have 90 or more credit hours = Priority I
