Apply for Aid

Rivier University has established a priority filing date of March 1. On-time financial aid applicants will be given full consideration for need-based assistance. Late applicants will be considered on a funds-available basis.

Rivier University only requires that students complete the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You must include Rivier University (school code 002586) on your FAFSA application in order for us to receive your application. If you are chosen by the federal government for verification, the Office of Financial Aid will request those documents in writing.

Rivier University’s Title IV Code: 002586

New and Returning Students for 2024-2025

Students applying for financial aid must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can apply online on or after January 1, 2024.

It is important that you list our Title IV Code (002586) on the FAFSA. If Rivier University is not listed, the Department of Education will not send the results of your FAFSA to the University. This form is used to apply for all types of federal, state, and college aid. In order for the Office of Financial Aid to offer financial aid, the student must first be accepted into a degree program at the University.

Please note that you are not required to accept all of the aid that was offered to you. If you wish to decline or decrease part of your aid, please do so through your Colleague Self-Service (student portal) account. If you have any questions or concerns about the financial aid process at Rivier, please contact our office at (603) 897-8488 or e-mail us for assistance.
