Our Biology Education degree fulfills all the requirements of our biology major and the New Hampshire State Department of Education Professional Standards for Teachers, which are required for certification. The curriculum encompasses biology, chemistry, physics, calculus, and secondary education courses. With this degree, you will be prepared for a variety of careers in education and the sciences, as well as ready for advanced graduate study and research.

Through a focus on experiential learning and field experience beginning your freshman year, you will build your skills, resume, and professional network. You will gain practical experience through a semester-long student teaching assignment, which will build your confidence in the classroom as well as your resume, and further develop your skills.
Upon completion of this program, you will be eligible for certification in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. Territories, the Department of Defense Education Activity, Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario per the NASDTEC Interstate Agreement.
