The Applied Exercise Science program is designed for problem-solvers with a desire to change the lives of individuals in varying degrees of health and wellness.

Applied Exercise Science Applied Exercise Science students study the science of human movement to enhance athletic performance, guide recreational exercisers to enjoy lifelong wellness, and provide rehabilitative treatment for injuries and diseases. This is a pre-professional program that will prepare you for graduate study in athletic training, physical therapy, exercise physiology, strength training and conditioning, cardiac rehabilitation, and health fitness.

A career in Exercise Science is also an excellent option for individuals who want to understand the role of physical exercise in preventing and treating disease and promoting people’s overall well-being.

Build Your Knowledge Base

The Applied Exercise Science course of study includes courses in nutrition, exercise physiology, physics, chemistry, kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology. Through the study of the human body and its response to movement and exercise, students will gain valuable insight into the benefits of physical exercise and its connection to nutrition and health.

Exercise science jobs focus on studying the effect working out and staying fit has on the human body. Individuals in those jobs may coach, educate, or advise patients or clients on ways to keep their bodies fit and healthy through proper nutrition and exercise habits.
