Rivier University MBA in Healthcare Administration receives Top 10 national ranking

For the second year in a row, Rivier's MBA in Healthcare Administration receives top marks among U.S. programs.

Rivier University’s online MBA in Healthcare Administration earned a ranking in the top ten of U.S. programs in a national education survey. In its recently released 2022 rankings, EduMed named Rivier’s MBA as one of today’s best programs for online learning in healthcare management.

“Rivier’s Business and Healthcare faculty bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their MBA courses. As a result, our graduates earn top positions at hospitals and facilities across the country and make significant contributions to the improvement of healthcare systems,” says Sister Paula Marie Buley, IHM, Rivier’s President.

Rivier's MBA in Healthcare Administration badgeEduMed researched more than 7,700 accredited institutions using data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and from the colleges and universities. Eligibility required active regional accreditation and at least one partially online program in healthcare management; just eight percent of the institutions earned a ranking position. Those that qualified were reviewed to determine the best combination of online learning opportunity, affordability, and student support earned top honors.

Rivier’s 36-credit online MBA in Healthcare Administration provides a dual focus on business management and healthcare administration, enabling professionals to gain experience in healthcare operations, while also developing critical thinking and communication skills and an in-depth understanding of legal and ethical issues impacting the field of healthcare. The program is designed to be completed in two years with multiple 7-week terms offered throughout the year.

“Exceptional demand for healthcare administrators creates an opportunity for those aspiring to leadership positions,” says Dr. Amir Toosi, Rivier’s Dean of Business and Security Studies. “Rivier’s dynamic MBA in Healthcare Administration provides a path for business and health professionals to meet workforce demands and advance their careers.”

In addition to accreditation by the New England Commission for Higher Education (NECHE), Rivier’s undergraduate and graduate programs also are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). ACBSP accreditation recognizes teaching excellence, determines student learning outcomes, and focuses on a continuous improvement model.

Rivier also offers an MBA in Management, an MBA in Information Technology Management (STEM program), and an MBA with a concentration in Marketing.

The University is accepting applications and the next term starts in January.
