Commencement is a time to celebrate the achievements of Rivier University graduates and recognize the dedication, perseverance, and support that helped them reach this milestone.

Students are encouraged to complete the online graduation checklist in advance to ensure all requirements are met prior to the ceremony.

Rivier University honors graduates at 2026 Commencement

Rivier University celebrated its 91st Commencement on Sunday, May 17 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass., awarding 758 degrees to associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree graduates.

Rivier honors New Hampshire Tech Alliance at 2026 Commencement

The University recognized the New Hampshire Tech Alliance for its service to New Hampshire and leadership in advancing the state’s technology and innovation economy.

Preparing for Graduation

Your first step toward graduation is completing your formal notification of intent to graduate. Each degree-seeking student must submit the Application to graduate available through Colleague Self-Service.

Students who complete degree requirements after the summer or fall semesters are encouraged to participate in the Commencement ceremony in May. You are advised to check with your Department Chairperson or Academic Advisor to be certain that all requirements for graduation have been met.

A mandatory graduation fee of $175 is charged to all students’ accounts upon acceptance of the Application to Graduate. Student account balances must be paid in full before diplomas or e-Diplomas are issued. Graduation fees can be paid through Colleague Self-Service.

After you submit your Application to Graduate, you will receive an email confirmation with additional information. You will also receive additional information via your student email once it becomes available. Please check your Rivier University email regularly for any updates.
