Paul O. Brower has been named Vice President for Enrollment Management at Rivier University. Brower will direct enrollment and admissions operations, retention, advisement, and career services.

Prior to accepting the leadership role at Rivier, Brower served as Dean of Admissions at Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts. He served the institution for more than 15 years, beginning his career as an admissions counselor and earning promotions to positions of greater challenge and responsibility including Director of Admissions and Assistant Dean for Enrollment.

“Paul joins Rivier with significant experience in college admissions at a pivotal time in our history,” says Sister Paula Marie Buley, IHM, President. “As we fulfill our Vision 2020 strategic plan and celebrate the opening of our 35,000 square-foot Science and Innovation Center, his background and expertise in developing and executing effective recruitment strategies will support the next stage of enrollment growth and vitality.”

As a member of the senior leadership team, Brower will work to leverage financial aid and recruitment strategies to drive enrollment growth at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. In addition to serving as the University’s chief enrollment officer, Brower will oversee and further develop Rivier’s unique Employment Promise Program and its underlying structure of combined academic and career advising.

“This is an exciting time for Rivier University,” says Brower. “With new construction to support the University’s biology and biotechnology majors and other in-demand majors in nursing, sport management, cybersecurity management, behavioral health, and more, there are significant recruitment opportunities. I look forward to advancing enrollment in fulfillment of the University’s mission of transforming hearts and minds to serve the world.”

Brower and his team are actively recruiting students to join Rivier next fall as members of the Class of 2025. Through the Rivier Early Acceptance Program, qualified candidates who apply and visit campus will be eligible to receive an on-the-spot acceptance and several financial incentives, in addition to a competitive financial aid package. Prospective students can schedule their campus tour online at events.rivier.edu.

In addition to Brower’s background in enrollment, he served at Nichols College as Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis coach, where he led his teams to 13 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championships and was recognized as CCC Coach of the Year six times during his tenure.

Brower holds a B.A. in Communications and Mass Media from Worcester State College and an M.S. in Professional Communications from Clark University.
