Chari Henry-Wilson, Ed.D.
Background
Dr. Henry-Wilson is an experienced professor and educational leader with over a decade of service in higher education and business leadership. Prior to joining Rivier University, she served as Chair of the Department of Business Studies at Manchester Community College and held faculty roles at both Manchester and Nashua Community Colleges. Her professional background includes 15 years in small business management and leadership training, where she specializes in helping individuals and teams grow through mission-based development and strategic planning.
Beyond the classroom, Dr. Henry-Wilson has been deeply involved in community empowerment and authentic leadership. Dr. Henry-Wilson has led numerous initiatives designed to elevate underrepresented voices. As a former Board Member of Emerging Leaders in Communities of Color (ELCC), she created and facilitated the “Who Am I?” leadership series, which empowered professionals to lead authentically within their communities. Since 2018, she has served as Block Faculty for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) Program, teaching on “Growth and Opportunity” to business owners in New Hampshire.
Dr. Henry-Wilson earned her doctorate at Rivier University. Her dissertation focused on “The Influence of the Recognition of Moral Dilemmas in Traditional Undergraduate Business Students.” Her commitment to applied learning is evident in her design of a graduate-level service-learning project in partnership with the Adult Learning Center, which emphasizes leadership development through community engagement. She also serves as the fiscal agent for the United Way of Greater Nashua’s “Time to Learn” program, leads trauma-informed workshop development, and is an active volunteer in faith-based and civic organizations. Throughout her career, Dr. Henry-Wilson has demonstrated a deep passion for empowering others through education, service, and ethical leadership.
