Rivier University ranked #1 in the state and top tier in the nation for nursing
The University has received top rankings for its nursing programs, including #1 Nursing School in New Hampshire.
Following a comprehensive evaluation of U.S. nursing schools for 2022, Nursing Schools Almanac ranked Rivier University as the #1 Nursing School in New Hampshire and #10 in New England. Rivier also ranks #47 nationwide among private nursing schools.
“Rivier is gratified to learn of the University’s exceptional national, regional, and state rankings for nursing,” says Sister Paula Marie Buley, IHM, Rivier’s President. “This further demonstrates the transformational nature of a Rivier education and the outstanding nursing faculty and curriculum that students experience.”
Nursing Schools Almanac assessed 3,000 schools on three critical dimensions: academic prestige and perceived value, breadth and depth of nursing programs offered, and student success, particularly on the NCLEX licensure examination. Rivier Bachelor of Science in Nursing students achieved an NCLEX first-time pass rate of 92% in 2021, far exceeding the national average of 82%.

“Our new Nursing Simulation and Clinical Education Center has elevated the quality of nursing education and patient care,” shares Dr. Paula Williams, Dean of the Division of Nursing and Health Professions. “The Center is equipped with high-fidelity simulators and state-of-the-art technology that allow students to gain real-world experience in controlled clinical settings.”
