Rivier University appoints distinguished Nashua community members to the Board of Trustees

Dr. Mario Andrade and Dr. Tara Levesque-Vogel have been named to Rivier University’s Board of Trustees.

Their expertise enhances the University’s strategic vision, providing the Board with experience in a wider range of disciplines.

“Dr. Andrade and Dr. Levesque-Vogel will join Board of Trustee members in recognizing the integrative nature of the student experience and capturing opportunities for continued growth in service, academic distinction, and resources as the University launches the Go Boldly 2024-2030 strategic plan,” says Sister Paula Marie Buley, IHM, President.

Dr. Mario Andrade is the Superintendent of Schools for Nashua, N.H. He began his 25-year career in public education as a Special Education instructor before his selection as Principal at Central Falls (R.I.) High School in 2007. Dr. Andrade began a 10-year stint at Bristol Warren (R.I.) Regional School District in 2009 and was promoted to Superintendent of Schools in July 2014. A New England School Superintendent Association Board Member, he is also a member of the Greater Nashua United Way and Nashua Community College Advisory Boards. Dr. Andrade is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and earned a Master of Science degree in Special Education from Simmons College. He received a Doctor of Education degree from Johnson & Wales (R.I.) University in 2006.

Dr. Tara Levesque-Vogel of Nashua, N.H. is the owner of Levesque Dentistry, a family and cosmetic dentistry practice. A member of the American Dental Association, New Hampshire Dental Society, International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists and the American Society of Implant & Reconstructive Dentistry, Dr. Levesque-Vogel was appointed by Governor John Lynch to the New Hampshire Board of Dental Examiners in July 2012 and served as President from 2018-2020. Dr. Levesque-Vogel earned an Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from the New Hampshire Technical Institute and attended Endicott College as an undergraduate. Dr. Levesque-Vogel earned a Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.

With more than 2,800 students at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels, and academic programs serving both on-campus and online populations, Rivier’s Board of Trustees provides strategic direction in advancing the University’s core mission of transforming hearts and minds to serve the world.
