How did Riv prepare you for your career? Getting my MBA gave me a greater appreciation of others’ talents. Working out situational difficulties requires effective reflection of the many possible solutions others may have. I am better able to help establish strategic pathways for the variety of opportunities that I am presented with to advance my organization’s goals and mission. 

What’s your typical work day? I attend a lot of strategic and operational meetings. My focus is to assist in problem-solving—providing direction and insight to recommended solutions; given the complexity of healthcare, it’s very demanding yet extremely rewarding work.

Your advice to future students? I put off getting my MBA thinking I didn’t need it to advance my career. In retrospect, it’s what afforded me the opportunity to break into the C-Suite and think strategically in both my job and outlook in life. I don’t regret one moment in my choice of a Rivier education.
