  1. Set up your Rivier University online account<\/strong> – Your online account is provided to support the academic and administrative efforts of the students <\/em>and employees of the University. Your username and password will allow you to log on to any public computer on campus, access University e\u2010mail, Colleague Self-Service, and Canvas for e\u2010learning when required by your professor.<\/em>\n
      \n
    1. Visit the Rivier IT website<\/a> and select “SET UP A RIVNET ACCOUNT”.<\/li>\n
    2. You have already received your Rivier e-mail address and student identification number via e-mail.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    3. Set up multi-factor authentication (MFA)<\/strong> – Rivier University has implemented multi-factor authentication (MFA) for its campus email and Office 365 web services. MFA greatly enhances the security of our email and data infrastructure.<\/em>\n
        \n
      1. Use your log-in credentials, preferably from a laptop or device that is not your mobile phone, to complete multi-factor authentication setup<\/a>.<\/li>\n
      2. Additional information about MFA, provided by the University’s Information Technology staff, can be found in the
        \n        MFA Information Guide<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      3. Access the Colleague Self Service portal<\/strong> – The Colleague Self Service portal offers access to academic records, course registration, financial aid information, and much more.<\/em>\n
          \n
        1. The portal can be accessed<\/a> using your Rivier login credentials.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        2. Access Canvas<\/strong>\u00a0– Canvas is an online learning management system utilized by Rivier’s instructors and students to access relevant course materials over the Internet.<\/em>\n
            \n
          1. Using your login credentials, you can access Canvas by logging in here<\/a> or by using the Quick Links on the rivier.edu home page.<\/li>\n
          2. Course materials in Canvas will be published one week prior to the beginning of the course.<\/span><\/li>\n
          3. A comprehensive student guide for Canvas can be found in the
            \n            Canvas Student Getting Started Resources<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
          4. Rivier’s Academic Calendar is available online<\/a>.<\/li>\n
          5. Submit any information related to transfer credits to the CS\/CIS Academic Advisor<\/a> for a preliminary review.<\/li>\n
          6. Submit SEVIS check-in documents<\/a>, including your United States address and telephone number.<\/li>\n
