Living on Campus

Deciding where you want to live is an important choice. Wherever you choose, we promise a comfortable, respectful, and safe environment that promotes learning, growth, and participation in campus culture.

Who Lives on Campus?

Rivier houses more than 400 undergraduate students in our four residence halls. All undergraduate students are eligible to live on campus; there are a limited number of spaces for graduate students.

Rivier has four residence halls on its 68-acre campus. Traditional-aged freshmen and transfers are assigned to Guild Hall, while many returning students and upperclassmen transfers live in Trinity Hall. Our third residence, Presentation Hall, is home to the University’s Wellness Housing program.

What Amenities Are Available?

All students live in double or triple rooms with shared bathrooms and kitchens. Each hall has lounges for socializing or studying. Cable TV and is available in each building, along with vending and game areas. All rooms are fully wired for high-speed broadband access to the internet and to the University’s technology resources.

What is the Residential Community Like?

Students are highly encouraged to become active members of our community. The Office of Residence Life and Housing and the Student Government Association (SGA) provide many exciting opportunities for involvement.

Our staff are committed to providing a safe and accepting community, where each individual is an active participant in shaping the life of the halls.

Rivier’s residence halls offer a unique experience in community living, which extends the learning process of the University beyond the classroom. Students and staff work cooperatively to create and maintain a living environment that promotes student growth and respects all residents as individuals. As a member of the residential community, you will become an important part of the campus culture.

All members of this community maintain the highest standards for themselves and others, treating people and property with respect, taking responsibility for their actions, and living in a way that is consistent with Rivier’s mission and identity.
