Insert Preformatted Building Blocks

Building blocks are items within a document that you save using the Quick Parts tool to be reused in other documents. For example, you might save your company’s contact information or mission statement, a design for a report opening, a special list style that you use in your documents regularly, or a staff roster you include on finished publications.

Word 2007 / 2010 have preformatted Quick Parts to save you time and give your document a professional look.

Go to Insert tab / Text group

Click the down arrow next to Quick Parts.
The following dialog box displays
Click Building Blocks Organizer

The following dialog box displays the preformatted options.
The building blocks can be sorted by Name or Gallery or Category
The easiest way to sort is the click the Gallery Column
All the same items will be grouped together

At the right hand side of the screen is a preview pane
Click until you find one that you like
Click Insert / OK
