Delete Endnote/Footnote Line Separators

Microsoft Word places a dividing line between the body and the endnotes/footnotes by default. If the endnotes/footnotes run over to a second page you will also see a line running across the top section indicating that the endnotes are carried over from the preceding page.

I would recommend that you delete these lines.

Open the document
Go to View tab / Document Views group / Select Draft icon

Go to References tab / Footnotes group
Click the Show Notes button

The screen will split into two screens; the lower screen displays the endnotes/footnotes
Click the Blue arrow at the end of the box and select

Highlight the line  / Click Delete

Click the Blue arrow at the end of the box and select

Again highlight the line and Click Delete

Click the Blue arrow at the end of the box and select

Save the document

All the separator lines should be removed from the document.
