Graduate, Class of 2017
Major: M.A.in Mental Health Counseling
Bianca Ciuffredo has always loved helping others. She started working for a community mental health agency after receiving her bachelor’s degree and fell in love with the work.
When she decided to pursue a graduate degree, she entered Rivier’s Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling program. “I chose Rivier University both for its location and the fantastic reviews of the mental health counseling program that I heard from co-workers who had completed it,” says Ciuffredo.
Although her schedule is significantly fuller, the topics covered in class relate directly to her daily work experiences, enhancing her professional performance. “The program has helped me determine that this is truly my passion,” Ciuffredo shares.
She has high regard for her professors and the classroom experience at Rivier. “The professors truly value us as students and future colleagues, and they integrate their professional experiences into our classes,” Ciuffredo says.
Ciuffredo credits her Rivier education for challenging her to think outside of the box. She is grateful for peers and professors, who, in the spirit of Robert Frost, encourage her to grow by taking the path less traveled. “It truly makes all the difference,” she says.
