The University was recognized as the 2016 Business of the Year by the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce at its annual Eminence Awards ceremony on March 25. The event celebrated the excellence and achievement of the Greater Nashua business community during the past year.
“For Rivier, this award represents the legacy created by the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary and the collective accomplishments of many,” says Sister Paula Marie Buley, IHM, President. “We celebrate all of our partners who form a community which has allowed the University to take the next steps in academic distinction, global engagement, and a renewal of our campus through the Gateway Projects.”
For more than 80 years, Rivier University has been recognized for academic excellence and leadership in meeting market needs in business, nursing, education, and other fields and industries. New in-demand majors, global and online learning opportunities, and directed career preparation are contributing to the University’s growth and providing graduates with a competitive advantage.
“Rivier’s success is due to countless individuals who have lent their expertise, support, and leadership in ways that have enabled the University to flourish in a very competitive environment,” says Sister Paula. “This award is shared with all partners, and especially our students and alumni who are transforming the world throughout our local community and beyond. As always, Rivier is proud to say, ‘Nashua is our home, and the world is our classroom.'"
