The Business School has established the following goals, designed to help you become a transformative business leader:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive business programs preparing students to succeed in competitive business environments;
  • Help students understand the interconnectedness of business functions and disciplines and master their knowledge to become leaders;
  • Instill in student minds a holistic view of business with an emphasis on business ethics and corporate social responsibility;
  • Connect core business concepts with an understanding of competitive intelligence, and national and international security;
  • Facilitate the learning process, using personal communications, online tools and other teaching methods rendered by contemporary technologies;
  • Educate students about cultural intricacies and their impact within an organization, nationwide, and globally.

A strong, welcoming international community
Rivier University has a rapidly growing international student population—you’ll meet students from China, India, Thailand, Spain, Iran, Australia, Greece, and other countries. There is a Chinese Student Association and an Indian Student Association on the Rivier campus. The India Association of New Hampshire is active in the local Nashua community, offering additional social and cultural event opportunities.

On campus, the Office of Global Engagement, Multicultural Affairs Office, and the entire University welcomes international students, offering helpful services such as assistance with the American Visa process, on-campus and group trips to American cultural events, and team play on our very own Rivier University Smashers Cricket Team. Your time at Rivier will be a wonderful opportunity to make new friends from your home culture, American culture, and from cultures around the world.

A small city just 50 minutes from Boston, Massachusetts
International Students can find it difficult to navigate a large American city, but also want to experience many facets of American culture. Rivier University is located in beautiful Nashua, New Hampshire, a small city with fantastic shopping, food, and culture. Just 50 kilometers away, Boston is accessed easily with buses running every hour from Nashua. You can also visit New York City, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania via bus and train.

For arrival plans or for travel within the U.S., Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is just a 20-minute drive by car (less than 30 km) and Boston Logan International Airport is a 50-minute drive (70 km). Travel may also be arranged from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.

A vibrant internship program
Rivier University understands that you need to gain hands-on experience as you pursue your degree. The University offers an excellent internship program with major companies located in Nashua and Boston. As you study, you can gain valuable experience in U.S. and international accounting firms, marketing companies, and in the technology industry.

Learn English in China, India, or the United States
Rivier University has established partnership with Education First to provide English language services in Beijing, Shanghai, or New York City. You may study English in your home country or the United States before arriving at Rivier University.
