Rivier University requires only that students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You must include Rivier University (school code 002586) on your FAFSA application in order for our Financial Aid Office to receive your application. If you are chosen by the federal government for verification, the Financial Aid Office will request those documents in writing.
Should additional information be required, the Financial Aid Office will request those documents in writing. Please do not submit additional documents to the Financial Aid Office unless they are required. If you have unusual circumstances, please contact our office at (603) 897-8510.

New and Returning Students for 2014-2015
Students applying for financial aid must file a 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after January 1, 2014. You can apply on-line (www.fafsa.ed.gov). Go to www.pin.ed.gov to get a PIN and complete your FAFSA.
Returning students: the Department of Education will notify continuing students to file their renewal FAFSAs in December. The Renewal FAFSA is a more efficient way to file for financial aid. It allows a student to update last year's data.
It is important that you list our Title IV Code (002586) on the FAFSA/Renewal Form. If Rivier University is not listed, the Department of Education will not send the results of your FAFSA to our office. This form is used to apply for all types of federal, state and college aid. In order for the Financial Aid Office to award financial aid, the student must first be accepted into a degree program at Rivier University.
Due to limited funding, Rivier University has established a priority filing date of March 1. On-time financial aid applicants will be given full consideration for assistance. Late applicants will be considered on a funds-available basis.
Please note that you are not required to accept all of the aid that was awarded to you. If you wish to decline or decrease part of your aid, please do so through your Net Partner account. For 2014-15 - Students should provide the most accurate information available to them. Due to the importance of filing the FAFSA/Renewal Form by the priority deadline, we recommend that students use estimated income information if their 2013 tax forms have not been completed. To do this, use your (and your parents, if applicable) tax form from 2012 if the information is similar to what you made in 2013. If there is a significant difference in income between the two years, you may estimate based on W-2s or an end of the year pay stub from 2013.
