Created to honor Officer Michael L. Briggs, this Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student who is pursuing a career in law enforcement.


New Hampshire Charitable Foundation 

Largest private scholarship source for NH students. Distributes about 3 million dollars every year.

New Hampshire Mayflower Society Scholarship Program

  • If you are a college senior, junior, sophomore, freshman or high school senior accepted to a two or four year college, or are accepted/enrolled in an advanced degree program, you may be eligible for a New Hampshire Mayflower Society Memorial Scholarship.
  • Two or more five hundred dollar ($500) awards are made annually.

Alicia Shanks Memorial Scholarship 

  • Applicant must be a resident of Vermont enrolled in their junior or senior year of a bachelor's degree in elementary education at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

  • Must reside in Addison County. Need and merit based. March deadline.

Ascutney Mountain Audubon Society Scholarship 

  • Applicant must be a resident of one of the following Vermont towns: Andover, Ascutney, Athens, Baltimore, Bellows Falls, Bridge water, Cavendish, Chester, Grafton, Hartland, Londonderry, Ludlow, Perkinsville, Plymouth, Pomfret, Reading, Rockingham, Saxton's River, Springfield, Weathersfield, Westminster, Weston, West Windsor, Windsor, or Woodstock. Don and Peg Arnold Scholarship  

  •  Applicant must be a resident of one of the following towns in Vermont: Benson, Castleton, Cornwall, Hubbardton, Orwell, Shoreham, Sudbury, or Whiting. Academic achievement, financial need and community involvement must be demonstrated.

Elizabeth J. Davis Scholarship  

  •  Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in licensed practical nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, registered nursing, speech language pathology, or social work at an accredited school. Financial need and intent to work in Vermont for two years must be demonstrated. 

Frank M. and Olive Gilman Foundation

  •  Applicant must be a graduate from one of the following Orange County or Windsor County high schools: Black River, Blue Mountain Union, Chelsea Public, Green Mountain Union, Hartford, Mid Vermont Christian, Oxbow, Randolph Union, Rochester, Sharon, South Royalton, Springfield, Thetford, Whitcomb, Williamstown, Windsor, or Woodstock.
