Nancy Gallagher, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Nancy Gallagher became a full-time faculty member at Rivier in Spring of 2006. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1993 with a B.S. in Nursing. After graduation, she began her nursing career in the Medical Surgical Unit at a large medical center in Denver, Colorado. After returning to New England, Nancy continued her nursing career in a variety of settings, including ICU, Surgical Vascular Unit, and Home Care. Her roles included preceptoring new orientees and mentoring nursing students. It was during this time that she discovered her interest in nursing education. Nancy completed a Masters in Nursing with a Cognate in Education from the University of New Hampshire in 2005. As a clinical instructor, she is able to draw from her many years of experience to help educate future nurses.
