Rivier University, a Catholic university located in Nashua, New Hampshire 40 minutes north of Boston, is accepting nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Finance and Administration. With a total headcount of 2,200 students including 800 graduate students, the University has a strong tradition of liberal education and professional programs. Rivier has consistently recorded operating surpluses and is noted for financial stewardship and an organizational structure that fosters institutional effectiveness.

Rivier University seeks an experienced leader to oversee all aspects of the finance and business functions of the University including controller’s office, student financial services inclusive of financial aid and bursar offices, physical plant, human resources, and auxiliary services of foodservice and the bookstore in addition to a growing real estate portfolio. Reporting to the President and working closely with other members of the President’s Cabinet, the VPFA plays a key role in the implementation of the University’s strategic initiatives, partnerships, and the fulfillment of strategic priorities as outlined in Vision 2020.

Requirements: The candidate must value the Catholic mission and vision of the University as articulated in the mission statement and welcome diversity and inclusion as demonstrated through a record of collaborative leadership and hiring; a master’s degree related to finance or administration and at least 5-8 years of progressively responsible management experience in higher education or a comparable setting. A current CPA is desirable. Experience and knowledge necessary to be an effective leader and supervisor for all operations listed in the scope of this position and demonstrated experience in capital projects.
