Coordinator of Multicultural Student Engagement
Rivier University seeks a full-time, Coordinator of Multicultural Student Engagement to encourage students’ cultural and social awareness; provide socially and culturally responsive engagement; and initiate meaningful inclusivity/multicultural dialogues and foster diversity and multiculturalism on campus.
The Coordinator of Multicultural Student Engagement is responsible for the development and facilitation of co-curricular and extra-curricular programs that link issues of diversity, equity and inclusion to holistic student development. The Coordinator will plan and facilitate workshops for students and student groups. The candidate will serve as advisor of the Multicultural Student Organization, staff Admissions events and provide a support network for outreach, advocacy and other support services for Multicultural students attending the University.
The Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree plus one (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience in higher education. Students graduating from a Master’s program this Spring are welcome to apply. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to advocate for and support the academic, personal and professional needs of underrepresented populations at Rivier University. The candidate must possess a working knowledge of key issues and best practices related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The candidate must be flexible and adaptable in an emerging and changing environment. Applicants must have the ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
