Assistant Professor | Family Nurse Practitioner
Rivier University seeks a full-time, on campus, faculty member in the area of Family Nursing with an earned graduate degree along with National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner licensed in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and a strong background in Family Health Nursing.
The Assistant Professor of Family Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing the Nursing and Health Professions division at Rivier University with on-line and hybrid instruction modalities at a graduate level. The successful candidate must be able to teach students using effective human and hi-fidelity simulation. The Assistant Professor of FNP will possess strong clinical skills and be experienced with telehealth, virtual meeting technologies, women and children’s health, preventive health, chronic disease management and supervise student experiences in the community setting. This individual will join a highly-committed group of Nursing and Health Professions faculty in preparing graduate students with the skills to practice and provide health care to patient populations across the lifespan.
This is a nine-month, full-time, exempt level, benefit-eligible renewable non-tenure-track faculty position.
Candidates must possess a keen interest and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students as well as the ability to work effectively with students of all levels and abilities. Candidates should have a demonstrable understanding of how this discipline and this position support the education of graduate nursing students. Also important is the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues both in the department and throughout the University community. The successful candidate will possess National Certification and be licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
