Dear Mr. Alexander:

I am writing to let you know that I enjoyed our meeting earlier today and that I came away enthusiastic at the prospect of offering my graphic design education and related skills toward meeting the needs of your clientele.

During my tour of your firm, you spoke at length about the nature of your computer graphic design work including your corporate identity projects, your package design projects and your POP displays. As you know from a review of my portfolio, my coursework at Rivier Univeristy included hands on MacIntosh experience with Adobe PhotoShop 4.0 and Quark. In particular, I believe the soap detergent box I designed served as a sample of my expertise with this software package. During our meeting you also noted the challenges faced in meeting the needs of your clients. My internship at Pixel Graphics in Nashua, NH, introduced me to the realities of client expectations. I am well aware of the challenges that your firm faces in balancing sound graphic design theory and practice with client budgetary limitations, deadlines and varying taste preferences. My internship supervisor, Ms. Gloria Hanson, praised my efforts in meeting similar challenges at Pixel Graphics. As one of my noted references, Ms. Hanson is available to speak with you by phone about my accomplishments at Pixel.

I understand that you plan to complete your first stage of interviews for an entry-level computer graphics designer later this week. As discussed, I am available for a follow up meeting with Mr. Kinky, the President of Global Development Graphics, at his convenience. Many thanks for your time and consideration of my candidacy.
