Events Intern

NHPR is seeking an intern to support donor and listener events. This intern will be a part of NHPR’s Development & Marketing Department, working with Senior Major Gifts Officer, Major Gifts Assistant and the Grants, Events and Marketing Manager to plan and execute a series of large and small events for listeners, members, donors and sponsors.

The intern will work with development staff to gain an understanding of NHPR’s fundraising and cultivation event program and systems and will assist with planning, coordinating and staffing events. Specific responsibilities will include:
•    Assist Senior Major Gifts Officer with event research, administration and planning
•    Help coordinate and support marketing, registrations and logistics for events
•    Assist with online and social media projects to promote events
•    Assist at all special events and receptions
•    Conduct internet research as assigned
•    Other duties as assigned

Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week from approximately January 2 to May 15, 2014.
