Background

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, Marlyn worked with the Denver Visiting Nurses. In 1997, she moved to New Hampshire. She has worked with long-term care, rehabilitation, home health and hospice clients. After earning an M.S. in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), she worked with the Nashua Public Health Department and Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill, Massachusetts. In 2002, she joined the nursing faculty at Rivier College (now Rivier University).

Academic Philosophy

“My academic philosophy of nursing education is focused on the ultimate goal of giving nursing students the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality, individualized patient care. Basic nursing preparation starts in the classroom, the lab, the clinical setting and continues with the commitment of the student to lifelong learning.”
