ALL accidents/incidents MUST be reported to the Office of Human Resources within 24 hours of the occurrence using the Accident and Incident Report. Both the employee and supervisor are required to submit Accident/Incident reports.
Rivier University Tuition Remission: Benefits eligible employees, their spouses and dependents may attend Rivier University using the tuition remission benefit. When using this benefit, the employee is required to complete a Tuition Waiver Form (separate waivers for: employee, spouse, dependent). Once the student has registered for the course, the tuition waiver form must be sent to the Office of Human Resources before the end of the add/drop period for processing. NHCUC, CIC-TEP, and TE Tuition Exchange: Concurrent with the admissions application, the NHCUC, CIC-TEP, or TE benefit should be requested through Human Resources. Benefits eligible employees requesting this benefit are required to complete the Tuition Exchange Request Form and submit it to the Office of Human Resources. HR will complete and forward the NHCUC, CIC-TEP, or TE application to the host institution.
Extended Sick Leave (ESL): ESL is used to cover an employee’s or family member’s illness or injury, which may be used after three consecutive days of absence. An employee may use ESL for the first three consecutive days of the absence, rather than using PTO, if the absence is designated under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). To apply for FMLA, the employee must complete the Employee Request for Leave form and the attending physician must also complete the Certification of Health Care Provider form within 15 days. Once both forms are received, the Office of Human Resources will designate the leave and, if approved, will notify payroll of your approval to use your accrued ESL.
Hiring Procedures: All hiring activities are coordinated through the Office of Human Resources. The hiring process begins with the submission of the New Personnel Requisition (NPR) form for approval. The NPR form can be found in the ‘Forms’ section under Human Resources or by clicking here.
New Employee Orientation: All new employees are required to complete the online New Hire Orientation prior to their first day with Rivier. Faculty and staff will also have an in person orientation with the Office of Human Resources and are asked to bring all orientation documents, including the necessary IDENTIFICATION to complete the I-9 form.
Adjunct Faculty, Graduate Assistants and Temporary/Seasonal employees are asked to complete the onlineNew Hire Orientation prior to their first day. On or before their first day they are also asked to complete the following:
- United Educators Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
Changes to Employee’s Personal Information: For changes such as name, address, marital status, and dependents, please complete the Employee Information Update Form and submit it to the Office of Human Resources.
