B.A. in Global Studies

Prepare to be a leader in today's global arena.

A national study revealed that 96% of American employers believe being comfortable working with colleagues, customers, and/or clients from diverse cultural backgrounds is a very important skill for college graduates.*

Rivier’s B.A. in Global Studies prepares graduates for success in the increasingly complex, global world in which we live. The program integrates the student of global politics and economics with foreign language immersion via study abroad and international travel, along with courses in economics, finance, international relations, world cultures and religions, humanities, and the social sciences.

Graduates are able to converse fluently in their chosen language, as well as read a foreign newspaper and understand foreign TV news broadcasts. Internships with international companies enable students to apply classroom concepts in the workplace and gain valuable, resume- and professional network-building experience.

Rivier’s focus on student global engagement provide many on-campus experiences, such as participation in the Model United Nations group and Global Scholars Honors Program. A diverse student body, including international students from a wide range of countries, provides a richer educational experience, as well.

Rivier University is a College of Distinction.
