Rivier’s English degree offers students the opportunity to focus on literature or writing. Foundational courses include a survey of great literary works, as well as practical applications in preparing effective presentations and a related internship during senior year.

Students gain an understanding of the historical and aesthetic literary traditions, hone their creative writing and business/professional writing skills, and develop an appreciation for the interplay between reading and writing literature.
