Department of Modern Languages

Through the Department of Modern Languages, students can study Spanish, French, or Chinese, as well as Spanish literature. Advanced language courses are available at the undergraduate and graduate level.

The Office of Global Engagement offers a variety of opportunities for language immersion including semester-long study abroad and short term global service trips. Nursing students have served in health clinics in Senegal. Our Biology students have conducted service in Costa Rica.

Students have gone on alternate Spring Break trips to El Salvador and other countries and participated in language immersion experiences in Oaxaca, Mexico. These opportunities broaden the learning experience while also expanding your worldview.
