Ms. Rouzer has taught courses covering a variety of sociology topics for more than 20 years. She was a pioneer in online learning, earning a post-graduate certificate in Online Teaching and Learning in 1999. An early adopter, she became one of the first two online instructors for the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District.

"I love teaching online, there are no invisible students . . . you know the ones that sit in the back of the classroom and rarely speak or contribute," says Ms. Rouzer. "I love the freedom online teaching offers. I love the way it encourages students to find their voice in a safe environment. Lastly, I love the creativity online learning promotes for both the instructor and the students."
