Course Reserves
Blackboard option
The library provides many full-text resources through subscription databases and electronic journal collections. Rather than re-scanning an article, you can provide a link from your Blackboard page, often referred to as a "stable" link, "persistent" link or "digital object identifier" (DOI), to materials in these databases. Please refer to the page with instructions for linking to full-text articles from library databases.
Holds
- Rivier students, staff and Sisters may place holds on books via the "Request" function in the online catalog. Holds may not be placed on videos, tests, reserves, ERC software or reference books.
- Faculty may place holds on books, videos and tests.
- Books are held for 10 days after notification. After 10 days, the hold status is removed and the book is returned to the circulating collection.
- Books with an "on hold" status may not be renewed by the borrower.
