How do I make a gift to support Rivier College?

How is my gift to the Rivier College Annual Fund used?
The Rivier College Annual Fund provides unrestricted support for the College, enabling us to use your gift to meet our greatest needs. It is our priority to provide the highest level of scholarship support for our students, so your gift to the Annual Fund helps make a Rivier education affordable for deserving students. With your help, we are able to recruit the highest caliber students and to enhance the quality of education at Rivier College.

Can I designate my gift to a specific scholarship, department, or program?
While unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund provide the College with the greatest flexibility to meet our most pressing needs, you may designate your gift to an area that is most meaningful to you.

Can I make a gift online?
You can make a gift to the Rivier College Annual Fund using our secure online web page through Sallie Mae. Click here to make your gift now. 

How can my support make a difference?
Every gift to Rivier College makes a difference, and the collective gifts of all of our alumni, faculty, staff, and friends has a profound impact on the College.

How can I obtain a copy of the President’s Report of donors?
The President’s Report is published in October for the previous fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). Any donor who has made a gift during the fiscal year will receive a copy of the Report in the mail. To request that a copy be mailed to you, contact the Office of Development & Alumni Relations at (603) 897-8521 or alumni@rivier.edu.

When do I need to make my gift by to be included in the President’s Report?
The College’s fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30. We request that you send your gift by June 15 to ensure that you are included in the current fiscal year’s report of donors.

Is my gift tax deductible?
Your gifts to Rivier College are tax deductible under the applicable sections of the Internal Revenue Code.

How do I establish a scholarship?
You can endow a permanent scholarship with a minimum of $10,000. Scholarships are awarded from income generated by the funds' principal, which remains intact. To explore the options available, please contact Karen Cooper, Executive Director of Development and Marketing, at (603) 897-8508.

What is a matching gift?
Many employers will match employee contributions to Rivier College. Your human resources department will be able to tell you if your employer has a matching gift program. If they do, you may be able to double the impact of your gift to Rivier!

I'd like to include Rivier College in my estate plan - who do I contact?
Planned giving offers opportunities to increase returns on your current investments and allows tax savings for you and your family. For more information, please contact Karen Cooper, Executive Director of Development and Marketing, at (603) 897-8508.

What is the Graduate Giving Campaign?
Every year, the president of the Alumni Council invites members of the graduating class to make a gift in honor of someone important to them. Tuition, no matter how high it seems, does not cover the full cost ofa Rivier education. Grad Giving helps graduating students recognize that alumni gifts have helped them; it encourages them to continue the tradition of helping future students.  

How can faculty and staff contribute to the College?
Rivier is proud of the number of faculty and staff who participate in the Reaching New Heights: The Faculty-Staff Campaign for Rivier College.
