In addition to the Annual Fund, the University’s endowed scholarships help make a Rivier education affordable for our students. Through the generous support of alumni, faculty, staff, friends, and corporations more than 70 endowed scholarships have been created.
Creating a new endowed scholarship
With a gift of $10,000, you can create a named scholarship endowment. Scholarships are awarded from income generated by the funds' principal, which remains intact. Our endowed scholarships are awarded using a 4.5% spending formula; a $20,000 scholarship fund would yield an approximate annual award of $900. Scholarships can be formed with a three-year maximum pledge commitment.
When creating a new scholarship, staff in our Office of University Advancement and Alumni Relations will work with you to establish a name for the fund and the criteria that is most meaningful to you.
Students seeking scholarship assistance are invited to contact the Office of Financial Aid at (603) 897-8510.
A summary of each scholarship is listed below. Full criteria for each fund is available in the Office of Financial Aid.
