We invite you to join us at Orientation 2014! Your college experience is about to begin and your options for the future are unlimited. At Rivier University, you'll discover who you are and you'll learn to connect with people, ideas, and life in new ways. So, pack your bags for Orientation 2014!
To be prepared for the fall semester, the new student orientation program is mandatory for all students. Our overnight orientation program will give you a glimpse of college life, introducing you to all that Rivier has to offer. Challenging academics and a dynamic campus life are the basic ingredients to your success. Throw in extensive campus resources, outstanding faculty, and an active student body and you have an academic experience second to none!
Our dedicated faculty, staff and orientation leaders are here to guide and help you get the most out of the orientation program. Our student leaders will introduce you to your classmates and lead social activities and events designed to help you relax and taste University life firsthand. Our academic advisors will show you how the path you choose can help you accomplish your goals.
During the New Student Orientation, you will:
- make new friends
- meet faculty and your academic advisor
- get to know the Rivier campus
- receive your fall class schedule
What to bring to Orientation
Here’s a list of the must-haves:
- A smile for your ID picture
- Comfortable clothing and shoes
(Orientation will involve activities both in and out of doors. Dress casually; formal attire is unnecessary.)
- Pillow, sheets (beds are extra long) blankets, or sleeping bag
- Toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shower shoes, shampoo, hairbrush, etc.
- Alarm clock
- Raincoat or umbrella
- Insurance card
- Any medication you may need
- A fan is recommended
