The Counseling and Wellness Center at Rivier University is dedicated to providing students with psychological services in a way that students can meet their academic needs while having the opportunity to develop emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, and physically. The Center also provides a professional response to individuals or groups in emotional crisis and offers consultation to University faculty, staff, and administration.
Our Wellness programs help students develop healthy and balanced lifestyles. Events target different areas of health including physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and intellectual.
The first counseling session is designed to obtain relevant background information and family history, and to identify the specific concerns that led a student to seek counseling. At the conclusion of the session, the counselor will discuss appropriate resources and recommendations to assist in resolving concerns.
