Message: This Document Was Sent to the Printer

When you are on the campus network and send a document to the printer, the message appears for a second or two at the bottom of the screen. If you find this reminder annoying disable it.

If you have Vista installed on your computer, there are different configurations for the Control Panel display. These directions take into account both of these configurations.

Go to Start / Control Panel or Click the Control Icon on the Vista desktop
1.  If you are using Windows XP or using Vista's Classic View
Click Printers and Faxes, or Printers icon
Or
2. If you are using Vista's Control Panel Home
Click Hardware and Sound Group / Click Printer

3. Once the pop-up screen displays
Go to the top of the screen and Click File / Server Properties / Advanced tab


At the bottom of the screen uncheck Show informational notification for network printers box
Apply / OK
