Select, Copy, or Cut a Large Amount of Text
If you try to select, copy or cut a large amount of text using the mouse, as soon as the mouse pointer reaches the bottom of the screen and scrolls to page two, the scrolling seems out of control.
There is a quick and easy way to select large amounts of text.
1. Place your cursor and single click at the beginning of the first word of the text that you want to select with your left mouse button, then let your mouse button go.
2. Scroll down to the end of the text that you want to select, copy, or cut.
3. Find the <Shift> key on your keyboard and press it down. While still pressing your <Shift> key, with your left mouse button, single-click on the right of the last word you want to select. All the text between your first mouse click and your second mouse click will be highlighted.
4. Now you can Click Edit / Copy or Cut
5. Then, Click / Paste in a new document or section of the document you want to move the text.
This process seems cumbersome at the beginning; however, it is an easy, timesaving technique for those who cut and paste.
