Emptying Temporary Internet Files

When you surf the web, the pages you visit and the images you view are saved or cached (pronounced liked cashed) on your hard drive. Over time, these temporary Internet files take up valuable space and should be deleted.

Double click to open your Internet Explorer icon
Click Tools
Select Internet Options
Select the General Tab folder

In the middle of the screen, you will see Temporary Internet Files
Click Delete Files

Review the History Section

Click the Clear History button
Days to keep pages in history ... list a maximum of 10/14 days

Note:  Being a heavy web user ... I set my history for no more than 3 days.

I rarely return to a site ... if I visit a site often, I bookmark it with the Favorites button.
