AutoDate a Document

If a template or a form letter is used it is possible to open the document and have the current date automatically updated.

Type in the date then highlight it

Click Insert / Date & Time

In the left hand side of screen Select the format
Check the Update automatically box
OK

The next time you open the template or the document, the current date will automatically display. 

The AutoDate feature will not apply to older documents in your folder. Therefore, the next time you open a file, delete the date and repeat the directions to activate the function.

Test to see if your AutoDate feature is activated. Click over the date and your should see as grayed out area:
