Side by Side Tables
In order to place two tables side by side in your document, the tables need to
be relatively small.
If the tables are larger, use the Landscape Orientation for the size of the
paper.
Insert your tables one above the other; reduce the size of the tables to fit
the page width.

Word 2007:
Select both tables
Go to Page Layout ribbon tab /
Page Setup group
Click Columns arrow and select 2
Word 2003:
Select both tables
Click Format / Columns
Or, click the Columns icon
Select Two tables / OK

The two columns might be a little uneven because of space between the tables;
deleted the space and the top of the second table. Tables should be side by side

Adjust the tables to fit the size of the paper.
