Add Sound to Slide Transitions

Adding sound to transitions is a good way to keep the attention of selected groups. Adding sounds may not be appropriate for all audiences especially professional groups.

Sound can be added to slide transitions one at a time or by grouping slides.

Open PowerPoint presentation

To group slides:
On the left side of the screen / Click Slides tab
Hold down the Ctrl key and click all the slide thumbnails you want to add sound to
The highlighted thumbnails will have a colored frame

Go to Animations tab
Transition to this Slide group
Click the arrow next to Transition Sound
Select one of the options

If you have downloaded a different sound you would like to use
Click Other Sound... option
Go to the file where you downloaded the sound
Highlight the file and click OK

If you want to add a different sound to other other slides
Repeat the process as needed
