Advanced Search

Outlook 2007 has the ability to perform an advanced or expanded search for various types of information. Learn how to use this function. It can save you a great deal of time if you are searching for information in your Outlook program.

Open the Outlook program
Go to the Inbox section
At the top of the column there is a search box
Click the double chevron down to expand the selections

Notice that the expanded list appears yellow

I used the following criteria for an expanded search:
From: typed in acallahan
Body: run command
Subject: tn

I was looking for the TN number with information on the Run Command

The search found 3 items with the listed criteria.

It is also possible to add other criteria.
Click the Black arrow to see a drop-down list of multiple options.

Click the double chevron up to close.
