Update Fields and Links Automatically

To make sure your excel tables are updated automatically, check the following settings:

Open Excel program

Click Office Button / Excel Options at the bottom of the screen

Click Advanced
Scroll down to the section: When calculating this workbook:

Make sure you have a check mark in the following boxes
OK so save the settings

 

If an excel table is inserted within a word document, check the Word settings
