Today's Date in Multiple Cells

Open the excel worksheet
Go to the date column
In a free cell type in the formula
=Today()         [No spacing]

Notice the same text will appear in the cell
Press Enter and the date displays


Highlight the cell with the date
The cell is surrounded by a dark outline
Drag the lower right hand handle down to fill in today's date in as many cells as you want.
With this shortcut you can copy multiple entries in a column.
