When you insert a text box in a document, Word automatically places a border around it. If you want to remove the border or frame click anywhere within the textbox.
You should see a series of handles (black square boxes) appear around the frame or border of the text box. Go to Format tab Text Box Tools / Format bar will display
Click Shape Outline box
The border or frame will be removed Save the document Updated:
